Details
The IS200STTCH2ABA is a simplex thermocouple board developed by GE. It is part of the Mark VI control system.
This board terminates external I/O. It is mainly used for GE Speedtronic Mark VIE series. In addition, Mark VIE is a flexible platform for a variety of applications.
It also provides high-speed networking I/O for simplex, duplex and triplex redundant systems.
The IS200STTCH2A is a multi-layer PCB with embedded SMD components and connectors. Part of the terminal block is a removable connector
This terminal board is a versatile and compact solution designed for efficient thermal monitoring and control. Equipped with 12 thermocouple inputs, the board provides ample capacity for monitoring multiple temperature points within the system.
Features
Compatibility: It is designed to interface seamlessly with the PTCC Thermocouple Processor Board on the Mark VIe or the VTCC Thermocouple Processor Board on the Mark VI. This compatibility ensures smooth integration with existing systems and enhances operational flexibility.
Signal Conditioning and Cold Junction Reference: The STTC terminal board incorporates on-board signal conditioning and cold junction reference, the same functionality found on the larger TBTC board. This ensures accurate temperature readings by compensating for variations at the junction where the thermocouple is connected to the terminal board.
Terminal Blocks: The board features high-density Euro-Block style terminal blocks. These terminal blocks are rugged and designed for high-density wiring configurations to allow for secure and reliable connections. Two different types of terminal blocks are available to meet specific application requirements.
Identification Chip: An onboard ID chip is included to identify the motherboard to the processor. This feature plays a vital role in system diagnostics and allows for easier troubleshooting and maintenance by providing the processor with necessary identification information.
Bracket Assembly: The terminal strip along with the plastic insulator is first mounted on the metal plate bracket. The bracket provides the necessary support and stability for the terminal strip.
DIN Rail Connection: The bracket assembly is then mounted to a standard DIN rail. The DIN rail mounting system allows for easy installation and removal and provides a secure fit within a distribution panel or control cabinet.
Panel Mounting: The terminal strip and plastic insulator can also be mounted on the metal plate assembly. The assembly is designed to be bolted directly to the panel, providing an alternative mounting option for installations where DIN rail mounting is not possible or recommended. The metal plate assembly is securely bolted to the panel, ensuring that the terminal strip remains firmly in place during operation.
Thermocouple Wiring: Thermocouples are connected directly to the board's terminal blocks. This direct connection ensures minimal signal loss and maintains the integrity of the temperature reading.
Wire Size: Typical 18 AWG wire is used to connect thermocouples to the terminal block. This wire size is commonly used for thermocouple connections due to its combination of flexibility and durability.
Euro-Block Terminal Blocks: Terminal Size: The Euro-Block style terminal blocks on the board have a total of 42 terminals, providing ample connection points for multiple thermocouples and associated wiring.
Fixed or Removable Options: Terminal blocks are available in two configurations - fixed or removable. Fixed terminal blocks provide a more permanent and secure connection, while the removable version allows for easier maintenance and replacement of wires without disturbing the entire setup.
