Details
The GE I/O TC2000 Analog Board DS200TCCAG1BAA features one 80196 microprocessor and multiple programmable read only memory (PROM) modules.
It also contains one LED and 2 50-pin connectors. The LED is visible from the side view of the board. The IDs for the 50-pin connectors are JCC and JDD. The PROM modules on the GE I/O TC2000 Analog Board DS200TCCAG1BAA store instructions and firmware used by the microprocessor and programmable logic device. The information is embedded on the PROMs and can erased and a newer version stored on the PROMs.
The PROM modules are removable from the sockets that are integrated on the board. To remove a PROM module, insert a flat-bladed screwdriver under one end of the module and gently lift up the screwdriver and the module will pop up. Then, insert the screwdriver on the other end of the module and perform the same action. Immediately place the module in a static protective bag.
To install a PROM module, align the module with the socket and avoid touching the pins on the module. Press down on the module to install it. Always wear an EDS protective device, like a wrist strap because the modules are sensitive to static. The information on them can be corrupted or destroyed.
To ensure the replacement board processes the same as the formerly used board, remove the modules from the old board and install them on the new board. In this way, the instructions and firmware code will be the same.
The DS200TCCAG1BAA developed by General Electric as a part of the Speedtronic MKV series is an input/output circuit board and is located in the C core of the GE MKV panel. The main function is to monitor thermocouples, RTDs, milliamp inputs, cold junction filtering, shaft voltage and current monitoring. It features one 80196 microprocessor and multiple PROM modules as well as one LED and 2 50-pin connectors.
The IDs for the 50-pin connectors are JCC and JDD. Since this board was designed with a microprocessor, it is important that the board be kept at a cool temperature to enable the microprocessor to function accurately and also to prolong the life of the microprocessor. Excessive heat can damage a microprocessor or lead to inaccurate processing. The drive must be installed in a location with clean cool air that is free of dust and dirt. If the drive is mounted on a wall, the wall cannot have heat-generating equipment on the other side of it.

The board also is populated with 3 jumpers. When you replace the board, typically the site will install a replacement that is exactly like the original board. In this way, the drive will perform the same as before the replacement board was installed.
Two features of the GE I/O TC2000 Analog Board DS200TCCAG1B enable it to perform the same. First, the jumpers on the original board can be set the same on the new board as on the defective board. In this way, the configuration will be identical and provide the same processing.
To set the jumpers to the same positions, remove the defective board and place it on a clean level surface. Then, remove the replacement from the static protective bag and place it beside the defective board on a flattened static protective bag. Wear a wrist strap and examine the jumpers on the old board. Then set the jumpers on the new board to match the settings on them.
