Bently Nevada's 3300 XL Proximitor sensor, model 330180-50-05, is part of the 3300 XL 8mm Proximity Sensor System. It is a 5.0-meter (16.4-foot) panel-mount sensor that differs from the 330180-51-05 in mounting options.

The sensor is part of a system that provides an output voltage proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the conductive surface being measured.

It can measure static and dynamic values, and is primarily used for vibration and position measurement in fluid film bearing machines. Improvements and related advantages over previous designs are also described.
